ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Delivered by the Summerhill Impact, with support from the Government of Canada, this unique Program is designed to get higher-polluting vehicles off the road and reward the owners for doing so. 

The Program is committed to responsibly recycling 1995 and earlier vehicles, and aims to retire 50,000 vehicles per year until March 31, 2011.

Auto Recyclers are Key

All vehicles entering the program will be processed by automotive recyclers who have met the new National Code of Practice.

The Code, developed in consultation with the Automotive Recyclers of Canada, aims to standardize how vehicles are handled in the program.
